Have you ever wished you could watch a game from anywhere? Maybe you are on a trip and want to monitor the auction house. Or you need to make sure your fleet is safe. If you’re an Eve Online player, you’ll see what I mean.
Luckily, CCP Games has just the right answer. Eve Anywhere comes out of beta today. Eve Anywhere allows Eve Online players to access the game through a browser. It’s available now for players in the US and select European countries, with more coming soon.
Powered by Intel technology, the new service routes connections to powerful PCs via the cloud. This new option also allows players historically limited by hardware to join in the fun. Anyone can play virtually anywhere they want, and you can switch seamlessly between the browser and the game client.
Eve Anywhere beta started last year across Europe. As of August 2021, over 11,000 players around the world have streamed over 86,000 sessions. These meetings provided CCP with valuable information to ensure a smooth start for the public.
“EVE Anywhere has been incredibly well received by those who have tested it in beta over the last year. We really appreciate you trying Capsuleers and giving us your invaluable feedback to help us improve the experience,” said Bergur Finnbogason, Creative Director of EVE Online. “Thanks to all of your help, we’re finally ready to put EVE Anywhere in your hands, regardless of your browser settings.”
To try Eve Anywhere, all players must log into their accounts and click the Start Eve Online button. For a stable gaming experience, it is recommended that players have a connection speed of at least 25 Mbps.
