505 Games unveils several new indie titles in its digital showcase

505 Games held its first digital presentation this morning, taking a look at some of the indie games on its upcoming release calendar. The company unveiled three new games and took a look at Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising.

The first game shown was Among the Trolls, a survival sim set in a Finnish forest. The main character is stranded in the forest and must find a way to survive and appease the trolls and other spirits in the forest. In practice, it seems very similar to other survival games, with crafting mechanics and taking things from the environment. However, the player will not be able to take resources indiscriminately or it will anger the forest trolls.

The second new game is Stray Blade, a new Soulslike title. The hero is an anthropologist who accidentally gets transported to another plane while exploring ancient ruins. They team up with a small animal creature named Boji to save the world of Acrea. It is said that the player’s decisions will also shape the world around him.

The third new game that ended up getting a relatively short teaser trailer is Miasma Chronicles. All we saw was the main character (or I’m guessing the main character) and a robotic companion facing some sort of dark portal. I couldn’t tell what gameplay it will have just from what I’ve seen. However, it is the work of Mutant Year Zero developers The Bearded Ladies.

505 Games also showed Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising, which was released last week. While it would have been more interesting to see Hundred Heroes, the game that Rising is a prequel to, we haven’t seen it.
